What is the HYPNO-BAND weight loss system?

What do you get for your money?

The HYPNO-BAND system comprises a series of  sessions plus cd or mp3 recordings which you use for reinforcement. A full dietry and medical history will be taken and an initial assessment done during the first session. Also in the first session you will be introduced to hypnosis and experience the fantastic feelings of relaxation and calmness which results from being hypnotized. We will also begin your journey to losing weight. In the second session you will encounter the HYPNO-BAND and we will begin the process of having the virtual gastric band fitted. In subsequent sessions the HYPNO-BAND virtual gastric band will be fitted and adjusted. In later sessions the process will be reinforced and you will learn a different way of eating. Following the sessions you should use your CD or MP3 to back-up and reinforce the work you have done.

Gastric Band surgery is not for everyone. Usually the surgery is only carried out on people classified as “clinically obese” and with a high Body Mass Index (BMI).

A surgical Gastric Band works by reducing the size of the stomach and therefore you eat smaller portions and feel full. Through this method it is possible to
lose weight easily. The surgical method does have drawbacks however. It is very costly, typically cost- ing £4000 to £6000 and of course you will need to go through a surgical procedure.

The way hypnoband works, I do an initial 30 minute assessment appointment which is free. This is  to ensure that hypnoband is really the best way forward for you.

It may be that an easier, cheaper option would be more appropriate. Depends on your BMI ( Body Mass Index ) and the reasons you are overweight – underlying medical conditions etc.

Most people prefer that the first free appointment and the initial first hypnoband appointment are rolled into one appointment if the person wants to go ahead at the end of the assessment.

Normally hypnoband follows the following procedure

First free appointment of 30 mins  = Assessment, to explain the procedure, and to see if hypnoband is suitable for you and if it is best option.

1st appointment of 60 – 90 minutes approximately. Assessment, taking history, discussing procedure, doing initial hypnotherapy session and give CD to work on at home along with literature / food diary etc.  Most people put the first free assessment appointment together with the first full appointment if they do wish to proceed, so first appointment would be 90 minutes <> .

2nd appointment:  1 week after 1st. Reinforce 1st  appointment and prepare for virtual hypnoband operation.
One hour <> appointment.

3rd Appointment: 1 week after 2nd appointment. Hypnoband virtual operation procedure.
One hour <> appointment.

4th Appointment; 1 month after 3rd appointment. Follow-up and adjustment of band if necessary. One hour <> appointment.

The total cost is £300.

This can either be paid at first appointment in full, or if you wish

3 payments of £100. That is £100 at each of 1st/2nd/3rd appointments. Payable by cheque or cash. If you wish to pay by credit card or paypal, please contact me and we can arrange this  before the appointment.

Check Your BMI.

Your BMI gives and indication of your health risks. A BMI between 18 and 25 is regarded as “Normal”, between 25 and 30 is classed as “Overweight” and a BMI between 30 and 40 is in the “Obese” range. If you have a BMI over 40 you are classed as “Morbidly Obese.” Not only can obesity affect life expectancy it can be responsible for conditions such as:cardiovascular disease, diabetes Type II, stroke, cancer, joint problems such as osteoarthritis and high blood pressure.
